Sequoyah Elementary is very fortunate to have an excellent on site after-school care program, Kids' Place at Sequoyah.  The program provides many activities for its attendees such as Homework Club, arts and crafts, free play outside on the playground, games that are played in the gymnasium, Art Club, Science Club, karate classes, drama classes, dance classes, music lessons, tutoring, conversational Spanish classes, extended library time, the Girls on the Run program, and Computer Club.  The school receives $2.50 per month per child enrolled in the program, and presently there are 188 students who attend Kids Place after school.  This money is used exclusively for technology needs and for repairs and upgrades to our playground. "My first grader begs to go to Kid's Place! It is a safe, positive environment to leave your child," said one Sequoyah parent.
