Sequoyah School is a wonderful community of learners, educators, supporters, and friends. We thrive with the level of support that our community affords. Our students come to school ready to learn. Our faculty provides a supportive, nurturing environment in which the students grow and develop. Our parents and other supporters contribute daily with their time and talents to ensure students have access to many different types of experiences. Friends of Sequoyah support our endeavors through Partners in Education, community involvement, Sequoyah Foundation, and the PTA.

The Sequoyah Elementary Foundation is a charitable organization founded in 2006 that raises funds for major school programs such as upgrading computers, providing after-school arts and language programs, and improving the playground. The Sequoyah Elementary Foundation is steered by a Board of fifteen parent and community members, the principal, and one teacher representative. The Sequoyah Elementary Foundation is a charitable 501c-3 corporation. All donations made to the SEF are tax deductible. The Sequoyah Elementary Foundation complements the PTA. The PTA funds day-to-day needs that Knox County does not, such as clinic supplies, workbooks, and classroom supplies.
